A Conversation with N.T. Wright

The word “gospel” means “good news.” But what makes this message good? How can the Bible, filled with difficult and puzzling stories, be good news? Does it apply to life today?

Join us on Saturday, May 30, when theologian N.T. Wright will be speaking about his new book Simply Good News: Why the Gospel Is News and What Makes It Good. In public conversation with Dr. Scot Sherman, Wright will offer a clear and thoughtful analysis of what the “good news” really is, and how it applies to our lives today, displaying its power to transform us. The gospel, then, is deeply good news because it reveals that God is a deeply good God. The gospel is also good because it has immediate implications for how we ought to live now, in our present circumstances, however difficult they may be.

Wright will be in conversation with Dr. Scot Sherman on Saturday, May 30 at 7:00 pm at the Nourse Theater.
