Join A Community Group

From the beginning, God made us for community. It was not good for Adam to be alone, God said, so God gave him a partner. And even God exists in continuous relationship--the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. “People enter community in order to grow in inner freedom, then to give it to others; to radiate it, to offer good news to others,” Jean Vanier once said. So we want to invite you, if you haven’t already, to consider joining a Community Group.

Community Groups are the daily embodiment of the life and vision of City Church. They are groups of people (about 10-15) who meet together weekly in a home to pray together, study the scriptures, and serve each other and the city. After we leave each other on Sunday mornings, we return to our lives and homes, our jobs and families. But we also return to each other, and to God, through our communities. CGs are where what we believe meets how we live, and anyone is welcome to join one, regardless of where you find yourself in your journey of faith. There is space to grow deeper in your faith and relationships, and to be challenged by walking alongside people whose journeys look different from your own.

Community Groups have always been one of the most important ways that people at City Church can experience knowing and being known, by themselves, by others, and by God. Over the next few weeks, you will be able to sign up for a Community Group if you aren’t already participating in one. Now through September 21st, there will be tables set up outside the services where you can ask questions, meet leaders, and sign up.
