Jon is a native of the Bay Area but grew up in Phoenix. After attending Arizona State, Jon moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in golf until it occurred to him that he actually needed to be good at golf to be able to support himself. He then worked for SOS Ministries in Uganda and Los Angeles until moving to San Francisco in 2006 to work for REI. Jon joined the staff at City Church in August 2009. When not working Jon can be found camping or buying music at Amoeba Records.
