Kirsten Oates started as the Director of People and Planning in 2007. Kirsten grew up in Australia and graduated from the Australian National University with a Bachelor in Economics and a Bachelor of Laws with Honors. Kirsten spent two years working in investment banking before joining Bain and Company where she worked for seven years in both its for profit and not-for-profit organizations. Kirsten is passionate about brining structure to the non-profit sector and is responsible supporting the Executive Pastor in strategic planning and budgeting. Kirsten met her husband Hal Oates on the steps of City Church while she was in San Francisco on a work assignment, they married a year later.
