Meet Julie Lockwood

Julie Lockwood loves everything about San Francisco, even MUNI. Her fondness for the City began as a child growing up in nearby San Carlos and has continued since moving back in 2007. This panhandle resident loves San Francisco's sense of style and thrift because as she puts it, "What's not to love about cool, free clothes!" Julie also proudly mentioned that she gets her inspiration for clothing and attire from riding the 21 Hayes bus.

We were surprised to learn about Julie's affinity for the bus system, but she enjoys the beautiful and entertaining diversity on public transit, and remembers the childhood excitement of riding the bus to Union Square during the holidays. For years her family would ride to SF and explore the tourist-pits, but now she loves taking transit all over town to explore the places she didn't visit growing up.

Julie also loves the people and ministries of City Church. After graduating from Westmont College, she visited City Church and fell in love with our City Hope ministries. She still remembers the one conversation with Rev. Paul Trudeau that encouraged her to lead worship services in our County Jail. Thankfully, Julie had more conversations with us, and now she joins our staff as an Associate with City Hope. Working with Paul and Adam Snell, her job is to support and develop service-oriented partnerships for our church in San Francisco and abroad. We know that Julie's work and love for this city will help encourage others to meet the needs of San Francisco with compassion, wisdom, and commitment. Meet Julie.
