The Story of Scripture in Five Parts: In the Beginning

Every good story has a beginning, middle, and end. The Bible is no exception, but there’s also a lot to navigate along the way. In this five-part gathering, we’re going to work through the story of the Bible in successive stages every other month over the course of the ministry year.

Led by pastor Peter Choi, we’ll delve into the major sections of Scripture in order to piece together a roadmap to understanding the grand storyline of the Bible. Along the way, we’ll unpack specific examples of how the story of Scripture leads us to more deeply know God.

This series of seminars is for people who have tried to read the Bible and gotten lost along the way. It’s also for those who might have thought of trying but didn’t know where or how to start. And it’s for those of us who have read it most of our lives, but could use a new set of lenses. That’s a long way of saying it’s for anyone wanting to learn more about the Bible. We’d love for you to attend sessions throughout the year, and will share the dates and times as they draw near, but you are also welcome to drop in for any one session at any time.

There will also be an option for individuals and community groups to continue studying these topics after each session--our community formation team has developed a new curriculum meant to complement these gatherings. This seminar will provide the tools you need to get more out of the Bible, for the sake of deepening your relationship with God.

Understanding how the story of Scripture begins is essential to knowing God's heart for the world. Join us for Part 1 on Saturday, September 20th: "How the Story Begins: Why There Is Both Beauty and Tragedy in the World."
