Why multisite?

Q.

Why multi-site?

A.

To reach the city, we must branch out into all areas of the city. No one church location can reach everybody in San Francisco. Multi-site has many benefits:

  • Shared DNA: keep same vision and mission intact among the entire city with greater effectiveness
  • Shared resources: each site has access to the cumulative resources of the larger church
  • Infusion of trained workers: urban ministry staff and volunteers ready to lead and serve
  • Increased prayer support
  • Pre-established network for problem solving
  • Small church atmosphere with large church resources
  • Increases number of seats at optimal worship times
  • Mobilizes volunteers with more ministry opportunities: enables more people to experience what it means to be more a part of God's mission in San Francisco by serving
  • Assists reaching those unwilling to travel a great geographic or cultural distance to church
  • Enables the church to reach different people and places effectively
  • Builds a pipeline for emerging leaders and staff
