UPCOMING EVENTS

Pop Matters: Annie Leibovitz
Saturday, May 17 | 4:00 PM | Legion of Honor Museum

Photographer Annie Leibovitz has captured some of the most iconic images of the past 30 years, with work that has often blurred the lines between pop and fine art. We’ll meet at the Legion to see her exhibit, then reconvene to have dinner and watch the documentary, Annie Leibovitz: Life Through a Lens. Museum tickets are $15 (Legion/De Young members are free); dinner will be $5. Please RSVP: karl@citychurchsf.org.

Pop Matters is a series that seeks to thoughtfully engage, enjoy, and critique popular culture. As singer/songwriter Pierce Pettis so aptly proclaims: "Everything matters if anything matters at all." This is the historic Christian world-view: that everything has spiritual significance and meaning because nothing is out of the redemptive reach of God. So please join us in this ongoing conversation of all things pop because, well, pop matters.
