"You have 5 minutes." That's what our homeless neighbors at CityTeam are told when they walk into the clothing center. CityTeam's five-minute rule empowers each individual with the freedom of choice and ensures equity for the hundreds coming through its doors.

Two weeks ago, men looking for a warm jacket found bare racks and empty hangers. They came to CityTeam hoping for clothing, but left disappointed and with nothing new to shield them from the dropping temperatures.

This is not how it should be.

We want to show the impoverished of San Francisco that we care for their well-being and that they're not forgotten. What an incredible opportunity we have! By giving generously, each one of us can worship God and express our gratitude for His provision in our own lives. We can give because God has given to us abundantly.

So, we're not asking for your grubby clothes that are headed to the trash.

Do you have 5 minutes to search your closets for that jacket you like but never wear?  Or how about taking 5 minutes on your next shopping trip to buy extra gloves, a scarf, or even a new sweater? Yes, it is a clothing drive, so we'll gladly take the basics (t-shirts, jeans, sneakers and socks.) But we'd love to provide coats, jackets, and other warm clothes for our neighbors in need.

This clothing drive for CityTeam will take place on November 6 & 13. Please drop off your donations in the lobby at either Sunday location.
