City Hope Community Center Updates

City Hope Community Center* is in the midst of transition this summer as we say farewell to two wonderful staff members, Matt St. Pierre and Julie Quon, and welcome Melisa Blankenship to the team.

St.Pierres Matt St. Pierre
Matt has been on staff at City Hope for the past two years, running programs, managing partnerships, and engaging volunteers in ministering to those most in need in our community. Matt and his wife Leah are transitioning back to Matt's hometown of Merced, where both will be undertaking exciting ministry opportunities as they continue working with underserved populations. The St. Pierres have been members of City Church for the past 6 years, welcoming baby Mason to their family last year. Leah, in addition to her day-job at Google, recently started working in the nursery at City Church, providing much needed care to our youngest members. Needless to say, we'll miss this great family very much and are already looking forward to their visits!

Julie Quon Julie Quon
After five years on staff with City Hope, Julie will be transitioning off the team in order to fully dedicate herself to her Masters in Social Welfare degree at UC Berkeley. Julie has had a variety of roles with City Hope, including program development, partnership support and as a first point of contact for volunteers.  A real culture carrier and source of institutional knowledge for City Hope, Julie will be a greatly missed member of the City Hope team. We're excited for all God has in store for her!

We're excited to welcome Melisa to the City Hope team! Melisa has been interning with City Hope while working on her Masters of Divinity (MDiv) and is now officially graduated and joining City Hope part-time. Her role will include overseeing all City Hope volunteers so if you're interested in getting involved, reach out to Melisa!
