An Evening on Constructive Conflict, Peace,
and the Reality of Life in Israel and Palestine

Thu, Feb 22 | wine & cheese reception at 6:30
conversation starts at 7:00 PM
SF Lighthouse | 1337 Sutter Street

In an increasingly polarized world, part of our church’s call is to join Jesus in what he called “the renewal of all things.” We are to become wise peacemakers, skilled in listening to the other, especially those with whom we have sharp disagreements. As part of our Lenten focus on “Love Under Pressure,” we have a rare and beautiful opportunity to listen and learn from people who have been making peace in one of the most contested pieces of land in the world, Israel/Palestine. Join Rev. Dr. Mae Elise Cannon, executive director of Churches for Middle East Peace (CMEP) as she hosts a conversation with Rabbi Dr. Daniel Roth from Israel and Aziz Abu Sarah, a Palestinian-American, about engagement in constructive conflict, peace, and the reality of life in Israel and Palestine.
