Welcome Ben Videtich Our New Youth Pastor

A quick note to our City Church family: We are welcoming Ben Videtich at the beginning of May as our new youth pastor. Ben and his wife Kaile are coming to us from Michigan, where he completed his Masters of Divinity at Grand Rapids Theological Seminary. Ben and his wife have one young child and another on the way, and we are full of joy at the prospect of their arrival. Ben will be working with our middle and high schoolers primarily at the Sutter campus, and his first day on staff will be Monday, May 1st. A note from Ben is below—please welcome him to City Church!

Hi from the Videtich family! We are a young Midwest family soon to be assimilated into the drama and excitement of a new city. Leaving behind fields, forests, farms, and the rusty cars Detroit churned out, we set our sights on foggy mornings and Pacific breezes. We are parents to two children, though one is still inside, due in September. We anticipate an even more *interesting* home life once we welcome our second child. Interesting may have been code for absolutely, overwhelmingly, completely joyous [and a little hectic, to be sure!]. My wife is lovely, an incredible partner in life and co-strategist in making sense of our toddler. The biggest thing to remember at this point is that her name, Kaile, is pronounced differently than it is spelled. For pronunciation, think Kay-lah. Kay-lah. Kay-lah. Kaile was just admitted into a graduate school in SF, California Institute of Integral Studies, and plans on beginning their drama therapy program next Fall. Looking toward our move to San Francisco, I plan on continuing my roles as disciple of Jesus, husband to Kaile (Kay-lah), and father to Silas and his coming sibling, but also taking on a new role with youth and their families at City Church. It is a privilege indeed, and much prayer and thought has gone into the process. I greatly look forward to serving in my new role alongside an incredible group of staff, a staff that has already made me feel welcome. Pray for us as we transition, for the coming challenges that will surely buffet us. See you all soon!
