Faith+Work Forum 2015

Several months ago, we interviewed City Church attender Jon Dahl about how City Church has helped him develop his understanding of faith and work. “God is not just at work in churches and not just at work where Christians are gathered together, but actually he’s at work all across the world. He wants to transform everything, from people’s hearts to economides, from business to medicine.” As we prepare to talk about our upcoming Faith and Work Forum on June 27-28, take a look at some more of what Dahl had to say...

Our experience of work is often paradoxical. It can be invested with so much meaning and fulfillment, yet it can also be enormously frustrating and demoralizing. Though we may want to serve God through our work, we can’t see how to do it. Our circumstances, our culture and our own abilities seem to constrain us so that true transformation is out of reach.

Paul Williams, a professor and Chair of Marketplace Theology and Leadership at Regent College, will help us find powerful resources in the extraordinary theology of work embedded in Scripture. Be prepared to see your own work in a new light, and to gain significant practical insight into how the most ordinary and mundane aspects of work, can become the starting point for true innovation and design.
