    When you hear it now, the word “epiphany” brings to mind that cartoon moment when a lightbulb goes off over someone’s head. To have an epiphany is to have a great, revolutionary idea, something that occurs to you alone and might change the course of history in its scale. It can be easy to go to church every Sunday and still spend most of your week feeling isolated and lonely. For many people, especially in large cities like San Francisco, the paradox of community is that we are surrounded by people yet we are constantly reminded of how alone we feel.
